Organic Roman Chamomile Hydrosol.

A bit of culture:

Roman chamomile is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family. It more commonly called chamomile. It is mainly used in herbal tea, well known to help with falling asleep. But it is also used in cosmetics, in its form of essential oil or hydrosol.

Roman chamomile or noble chamomile hydrosol is much softer than its essential oil. Moreover, if the latter is prohibited for newborns, this is not the case with hydrosol. This one is very popular with mothers and babies because, thanks to its anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and calming properties it will relieve dental flares and diaper rashes.

Properties:

The hydrosol (or floral water) of Roman chamomile has many properties:

• Antalgic: it calms pain such as teething or colic for babies or migraines for adults.
• Anti-inflammatory: it calms inflammatory reactions. For example, it will relieve itching, eczema or even irritated eyes. It can also act internally on intestinal inflammation.
• Calming, relaxing: it promotes relaxation in case of stress or anxiety. It will also help with falling asleep.
• Anti-spasmodic: it fights against involuntary spasms of the body.

Tips for use:

Chamomile hydrosol can be used:

• Topically: Spray directly onto the skin or soak on a cotton ball to relieve itching.
• In bath water: Add the hydrosol to calm anxiety and help with sleep.
• As an atmospheric spray: Spray the hydrosol into the air before going to bed to combat insomnia.
• For the face and scalp: Spray 20cm from the face or scalp. Then apply your cream or oil immediately to damp skin.
