Organic seeds to sprout workshop

Learn how to germinate your own ORGANIC seeds with this complete kit. In addition, the little guide included in the box gives you two recipes for cooking your seeds. Eating sprouted seeds is a simple way to eat healthily. This box also has a playful side that will certainly appeal to your children. You can germinate the seeds with them, so they can see the progress of germination and taste these seeds once germinated. p>

But what is the point of eating sprouting seeds?

Sprouting seeds are excellent for your health because they are rich in fibre, vitamins (A, B2, B3, C, D, E and K) and minerals (iron, zinc, potassium, magnesium, etc.). .) Thanks to their enzymes, these seeds are more digestible: they promote digestion and also prevent bloating. In addition, they are 10 times richer than the mature plant. 2 tablespoons a day is enough to provide you with the essential elements for our proper functioning.

Sprouted seeds are one of the only foods that can be eaten alive. Indeed, when they are cultivated they are still in their growth process and therefore they retain all their freshness and their taste and energy qualities.

How to germinate seeds?

  • Rinse the sprouters with clean water to remove any traces of dust.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of seeds to the sprouter (or the whole bag if you like) and rinse the seeds.
  • Fill with water that is not too mineralized. The water must cover all the seeds in order to pre-soak them. This is to soften the seed coat. (this time is 1-5 hours for fine seeds like lentils and 8-12 hours for larger ones like mung beans).
  • Drain excess water. The seeds must remain moist but without drowning them. Do not leave standing water.
  • Place your sprouters in the dark or in a dimly lit and cool place. The refrigerator is the ideal place for good conservation even if the cold slows down germination.
  • Germination starts after 24 hours. For 4 to 5 days, rinse the seeds once a day with clear water (and twice in summer when the ambient temperature increases).
  • Your seeds are ready to enjoy.

Warning: After harvest, the seeds should be eaten within 24 hours only. Do not eat sprouted seeds that are beginning to wilt or turn brown as there is a risk of food poisoning.
