The Damascus rose has existed since antiquity and it was the first plant to be distilled for its fragrance. The Damascus rose bush is a hybrid, resulting from a crossbreeding of several types of rose bushes, and as its name suggests, it comes from Damascus, Syria. This shrub can reach up to 2 meters in height and needs sunlight to grow. Note that its yield is extremely low, which explains its slightly high price.
Its rose water has a powerful and enchanting fragrance, and it is particularly appreciated in beauty treatments, especially for anti-wrinkle care. It is a must-have for illuminating the complexion.
Damascus rose hydrosol (or Damascus rose floral water) has many benefits:
Floral water should be applied to clean, dry skin. Apply with a cotton pad or spray directly onto your face or any other area of your body from a distance of 20 cm. Then, immediately apply your cream or oil to damp skin.
