Organic Damascus Rose Hydrosol.

A bit of culture:

Damask rose has been around since antiquity and was the first plant to be distilled for its fragrance. The Damascus rose is a hybrid, it comes from a crossing of several types of roses and as its name suggests it comes from Damascus in Syria. This shrub can reach up to 2 meters in height and needs sun to grow. Noted that its yield is extremely low, hence its price a bit high. 

Its rose water is particularly appreciated in beauty treatments, especially for anti-wrinkle treatments.

Properties:

Damask rose hydrosol (or floral water) has many benefits:

• Nervous rebalancing: it will calm stress and anxieties
• Hormonal rebalancing: it calms premenstrual pain and hot flashes
• Skin astringent:the rose hydrosol will have a tensing and soothing effect on the complexion. It is particularly suitable for dry and mature skin
• Skin soothing: It will calm itchy and irritated skin (eczema, redness, etc.)
• Anti-oxidant: rose water will fight against skin ageing.

Tips for use:

Rose hydrosol can be used:

• dermally: by spraying directly on the skin or soaked on a cotton ball for dry and mature skin.
• orally: dilute in a glass of hot water to reduce appetite, for example.
• in the bath water: add rose hydrosol to the bath water to soothe anxieties.
• inhaled: inhale the hydrosol directly from the bottle to calm stress and anxiety.
